Staff & Board of Directors
In Culinary School, Robert Adamson studied under John Kinsella, one of twelve Master Chefs in the United States. Having now been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, Robert has held many positions within the Restaurant and Hospitality industry including Executive Chef, Chef, Banquet Manager, and Food & Beverage Director, as well as Owner and Chef of Robert Adamson Catering, which later grew into Primizia Market and Bakery.
In 2010, Robert felt a much greater calling. After spending time in soup kitchens serving meals to those in need, his heart and mind were opened to see how God could use his gifts and talents to do good in the community—as a hand up, not a hand out. With the rise of food insecurity in America and the heroin epidemic that is so prevalent in the Dayton area, Robert knew that people were in need of more than just a meal. He saw how they need a sense of community, and friendship, and hope. They need a place where all are welcome to come just as they are. Robert followed his yearning to do more and found a way to use his culinary experience to bring the community café concept to the Dayton area.
Robert has the desire to reach out to our neighbors in need, the talent to provide healthy, affordable meals, and the heart to make a significant impact in the community.
